Each piece a masterpiece..."The love for art, and creation of it, is what brings me the must joy in my daily routine. After looking at my paintings I realized that I had to find frames to match. My early life, surrounded by churches all over Mexico, were visited by my father and I. As a Civil Engineer he had the patience to explain to me the origins of the architecture and the intricate designs on the altars. The hand carved wood was then gold leafed by very skilled men. The churigueresque churches intrigued me and were a very profound influence in my appreciation of art. Taught by a nun to gold leaf at an early age gave me inspiration to develop other manual skills such as making my own models in clay."

TECHNICAL DETAILS OF MY FRAMES:

All frames are completely gilded using 24k 28gm gold, the heaviest and purest leaf available.

The armature of all the frames utilize selected woods. All miters are gusseted, plus  biscuits, and glued at every joint.

Panels are Russian Baltic Birch, nine ply, using water proof glue or Alcoas Aleucobond* Great stability is a prime asset of these materials.

All frame nameplates are either heavy brass, marble, or lapiz lazuli. They are  engraved "in house" and all the letters are gold leafed.

The Judith frame contains Tahitian Mabe Pearls, New Zealand Paua shell, Rubies,  Topaz, and Thailand Cz.

Frame borders are either pure palladium or platinum leaf, marble, or lapiz lazuli. All Lapidary work, cutting and polishing is done "in house". Lapiz is jewel quality from Afghanistan, deep blues with gold veins.
